Tax Manager, Remote - (PRO1055452)

Overview

A modern accounting firm is seeking a Remote Tax Manager to lead tax engagements and provide advisory and tax services with a high level of client care. The firm operates fully paperless using advanced technology and does not require time tracking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a growing client base
• Manage preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and respond to ad hoc client requests
• Facilitate and oversee preparation and review of federal and state tax returns ensuring accurate and timely submission
• Identify and implement process improvements in tax procedures
• Provide expert guidance and support to clients
• Be available during normal business hours (e.g., 9am to 5pm) to respond promptly to client needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Tax
• CPA certification or CPA candidate status (required)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting (required)
• Experience in client-facing roles, communicating effectively with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls
• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software
• Ability to work independently
• Capability to coach and train associates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CCH Axcess
• Experience with SafeSend Suite
• Prior work with small to medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, family offices, and individual owners
