Overview
This role is a Tax Senior Manager position supporting the Hospitality Group. The organization provides services across Advisory, Assurance, and Tax, with professionals working in a hybrid capacity.
The position is based in Atlanta and is available in a Hybrid or remote capacity. Hybrid team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements, integrating tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies
- Present federal and state income tax returns and strategize for clients
- Identify industry/client tax planning opportunities and issues
- Facilitate complex tax research and establish tax strategies tied to client business opportunities
- Advise regarding IRS and state issues, including responding to correspondence and audits
- Assist with interim tax projections and year-end closeouts
- Implement tax advice in response to new legislation and planning
- Supervise, train, mentor, and guide tax staff, seniors, and other team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
- Hospitality experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree and CPA required
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with flow-through entities and individuals
- Knowledge of audit software such as Engagement and CCH Axcess is a plus
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
