Overview
This role supports a holistic wealth management team by providing tax planning and preparation services for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The Tax Support Specialist assists the tax practitioner team with administrative tasks related to tax returns, client communications, and workflow management to ensure an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for client-facing and internal administrative tasks related to tax, including maintaining client tax documents.
- Assist staff with workflow management and monitor data integrity using various reports.
- Assemble tax returns and handle electronic filing.
- Collaborate closely with the tax practitioner team and Tax Operations Manager to ensure timely communication with clients and internal teams.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with clients to maintain a high-quality experience.
- Manage client invoicing for tax services.
- Handle shipping, scanning, and assembling of tax returns and related client documents.
- Support off-peak tax season projects to optimize team performance and client service.
- Perform other general administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative or assistant role.
- Ability and willingness to work with dynamic professionals.
- Strong work ethic with a self-starter attitude; able to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Positive, can-do attitude and team-oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting tax or financial services teams is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $31 - $36 USD per hour, dependent on geographic location, experience, education, skills, and certifications.

Location
- This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.
- Travel to the nearest office may be required.
Work Schedule
- Standard business hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Saturdays as needed during tax season.
- Occasional early or late hours to meet business deadlines.
Working Conditions
- Work may be performed in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office free of interruptions.
- Basic technology needs will be provided.
- Routine sitting and standing; no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
