Overview
This position supports the Dental Practice Transitions (DPT) valuations and sales teams by processing reporting, evaluating data, and preparing final practice valuation documentation. Responsibilities include reviewing financial records, preparing restated financials and proformas, and generating customized written reports to assist clients in practice transitions. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with sales consultants and management.
Responsibilities
- Process valuation documentation by tracking missing items and coordinating with sales consultants to complete packages
- Analyze financial, tax, and practice management documents for accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate provider productivity, procedure mix, staffing, and operational reports
- Research market transaction data to support valuation conclusions
- Maintain progress status and communications in Salesforce.com CRM
- Enter data into Salesforce.com and templates from questionnaires and supplementary reports
- Review and analyze tax returns, financial statements, and payroll documentation
- Identify key financial areas and assess consistency with industry norms
- Prepare practice proforma and prospectus documentation, including financial statement analysis
- Develop and present questions to clarify data and make substantiated adjustments
- Review contributory data sources to establish suggested or opinion of value when standard methodologies are insufficient
- Finalize proforma, cash flow, and evaluation documentation for management approval
- Compile, edit, and finalize written reports for management and sales consultant review
- Edit and deliver practice financial packages for listing
- Redact documentation as required by company policy
- Conduct self and peer reviews of valuation packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Respond professionally to inquiries regarding valuation results, processes, or methodologies
- Participate in cross-training including preparation of tangible asset valuations and cash flow summaries
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com (training provided), OneDrive, and ShareFile
- Experience with dental practice transition and sales processes preferred
- Understanding of financial documentation including tax returns, depreciation schedules, payroll/W-2 documentation, income statements, and balance sheets
- Ability to interpret dental practice management and business reporting systems
- Strong mathematical aptitude and computer skills
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Client service orientation with ability to resolve complex issues
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Experience
- Typically 3 to 5 years of related valuation or financial analysis experience
- Preference for knowledge in dental practice transitions consulting or practice valuations
- Intermediate understanding of business financials, including tax forms, depreciation schedules, financial statements, balance sheets, payroll reports, and practice management reporting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (finance or accounting preferred)
Travel and Physical Demands
- Travel typically less than 10%
- Office environment with no special physical demands
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $63,396 to $99,056, depending on experience and skills
- Eligible for bonus compensation
