Underwriting and Due Diligence

  • Coordinate legal, servicing, and operational diligence with internal teams and outside counsel
  • Review case-level data, lien documentation, and servicing files to assess collateral quality and enforceability

Transaction Structuring and Execution

  • Draft term sheets and proposals across a range of structures, including outright purchases, forward flow arrangements, lines of credit, and non-recourse advances with upside-sharing or promote features
  • Prepare investment committee memoranda and return models for transaction approval
  • Support negotiation of definitive documentation (including purchase agreements, credit agreements, and servicing agreements) in coordination with Legal
  • Facilitate asset boarding, funding mechanics, and treasury coordination at closing
  • Support post-closing items including go-forward fundings, re-underwrites, audits, and amendments

Portfolio Management and Asset Monitoring

  • Monitor performance of acquired portfolios and attorney lending facilities, including paydown timing, collections, covenant compliance, and realized versus underwritten outcomes

Data, Analytics, and Process Improvement

  • Build and maintain underwriting templates, return models, and decision-support tools across bulk receivables, pre-settlement, and attorney lending
  • Improve feedback loops between origination, underwriting, Servicing, and realized performance
  • Support development of portfolio analytics, scenario analysis, and forecasting frameworks
  • Leverage AI tools day-to-day to accelerate diligence, modeling, memo drafting, and data analysis; identify and help implement process-improvement, automation, and AI opportunities to streamline deal execution and strengthen portfolio oversight

Relationship Management and Collaboration

  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships with medical providers, pre-settlement funders, law firms, brokers, and institutional capital partners
  • Coordinate across Sales, Legal, Servicing, and Finance to ensure a seamless counterparty experience from sourcing through post-closing support
  • Foster coordination across business lines and contribute to a collaborative, data-driven team culture

  • Working understanding of risk-adjusted return analysis, asset performance monitoring, and transaction structuring
  • Experience drafting investment memoranda and reviewing financing structures and associated legal agreements; Vice President candidates should have a demonstrated track record of independently leading transactions from sourcing through closing
