Y-Hire Accounting Consultant

Overview

This role involves providing accounting consulting services primarily on a remote basis, with less than 10% travel. The position focuses on developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly recurring accounting services for clients
• Review vendor invoices for proper accounting treatment
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Record bank and credit card transactions to appropriate general ledger accounts
• Assist with payroll management using ADP, Gusto, or other payroll providers
• Perform account reconciliations for significant balance sheet accounts
• Complete full-cycle accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
• Prepare month-end financial reports such as Comparative Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, and other specialized reports based on management needs
• Prepare monthly financial statements, financial reporting, and analyses
• Prepare payroll entries and monthly accruals
• Support special projects including accounting records cleanup, budgets, and forecasts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare schedules for external auditors and tax CPAs
• Engage in limited networking and relationship management

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; verification of identity and employment eligibility required upon hire
• No current sponsorship for work authorization is available
• Commitment to ethical conduct and integrity

Compensation

• Estimated salary range: $62,000 - $100,000 per year
• Compensation decisions consider skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs
• Geographic differentials may apply
