2027 High Yield & Bank Loan Intern - Remote

Overview

This internship is an opportunity to join the Investment Management team as a High Yield & Bank Loan Intern. The intern will work closely with traders and analysts to learn about the US High Yield and Leveraged Loan markets, gaining exposure to key skills for analyzing market technicals and performing credit analysis.

Internship duration is 12 weeks, running from May 17 – August 6, 2027, or June 14 – September 3, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the HY and Bank Loan desk
• Maintain desk tools and reports using Excel and Bloomberg screens and APIs
• Perform reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
• Learn the fundamentals of evaluating company fundamentals and industry trends, including key operating metrics, business quality, competitive positioning, and valuation
• Assist with developing investment theses and recommendations on single names
• Identify investment ideas across a company’s capital structure on primary and secondary opportunities

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in finance with coursework in Portfolio Management, Investments, and Fixed Income Securities
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious
• Enjoys an innovative and collaborative environment
• Basic understanding of investment concepts
• Excellent analytical, writing, communication, and computer skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $22.00–$25.00
• Equipment: The employer will provide a laptop and any other equipment necessary for a successful internship.

Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.

Remote Requirements (Internet)

As a remote-first organization, the employer requires employees to meet the following internet standards:
