Accountant

Overview

This role is a pro-bono accountant position supporting the organization’s mission through rehab-focused training programs for individuals with disabilities. While the position is volunteer-based, the successful applicant may be eligible for a stipend.

Responsibilities

This is a volunteer position consisting of:

• Account reconciliation for one checking account and one savings account quarterly
• Preparation and submission of IRS Form 990
• Payroll and related taxes for two part-time employees
• Monthly bookkeeping for seven accounts involving around 1,400 transactions per year
• General compliance consultation
• Account auditing (not a requirement)

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• Demonstrate high levels of fiduciary responsibility
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
