Accountant

Overview

A rapidly growing dredging company is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee job cost allocations and ensure accurate project accounting
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close processes
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and interpret financial data
• Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
• Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle, including recording additions and disposals
• Prepare accurate monthly depreciation schedules
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail
• Experience with job costing or project-based accounting is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
