Accounting Analyst - REMOTE

Overview

A financial services organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join their Accounts Receivable Escrow team. This role focuses on daily escrow balancing, reconciliation, and financial analysis to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and validate reconciliation reports from multiple data sources to ensure accurate transaction capture and revenue recording
• Analyze transaction-level data to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, variances, and out-of-balance conditions
• Prepare journal entries and adjustments to correct discrepancies and support accurate financial reporting
• Assist with daily and periodic accounting processes, including exception handling and resolution
• Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve operational and accounting issues
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls
• Support audit and SOX compliance activities by maintaining documentation, responding to audit requests, and ensuring alignment with internal control requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2–4 years of related Accounting or Financial Analysis experience, preferably in Accounts Receivable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred (experience with large data sets, formulas, and analysis)
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and draw meaningful conclusions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $21.24 - $28.31 hourly, based on factors including knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location
