Accounting Consultant – Engagement Director

Overview

This role involves serving as an Engagement Director within Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS). CAAS provides customized accounting support for clients (typically larger than $50M) on an interim and project basis.

As an hourly engagement director, you’ll work as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource across accounting, finance, tax, and audit roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource for clients in various industries, covering roles such as:
  • Interim Controller
  • Financial Reporting Manager
  • Internal Audit Manager
• Design and improve accounting processes, including (as applicable):
  • Monthly close
  • Management and financial reporting
  • Forecasting
  • Consolidations
  • System implementations
• Take an active, hands-on approach to executing client engagements.
• Travel as needed; additional travel availability may increase engagement opportunities.
• Select engagements that support a balance between career and personal life.

Requirements

• 8 years relevant work experience, including public accounting (10+ years preferred).
• Prior industry experience as a CFO, Controller, SEC Reporting or Internal Audit Manager equivalent (preferred). Big Four experience is welcomed.
• Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Mastery in Microsoft Excel and experience with a variety of accounting software.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Prior project management and exceptional client service management experience preferred.
