Accounting Manager

Overview

This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations and ensures accurate, timely recording of Aetna Technology financial transactions. The position supports financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, while taking ownership of accounting processes and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function
• Build and support internal and external audits by ensuring timely, accurate preparation of audit documentation and addressing audit findings
• Help establish financial projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Develop financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Experience with SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, Pivot Tables, and Analysis for Office

• Prior leadership or managerial experience
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $66,330.00 - $145,860.00
• This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
• Eligibility: This position is eligible for a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
