The organization is hiring an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close and day-to-day accounting operations as the business continues to scale. This role reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for general ledger accuracy, timely financial reporting, and the accounting processes and controls that support them.
This accounting function is built around integrated systems, automation, and AI. A major part of the role will be expanding and standardizing workflows as transaction volume and complexity increase.

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including P2P, T&E, and payroll accounting.
- Prepare and analyze financial reporting and supporting schedules; investigate variances and provide clear explanations of financial results.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies; research accounting questions and document conclusions.
- Partner with the Controller on complex transactions and translate accounting decisions into practical procedures.
- Build and improve accounting processes and internal controls as the business scales, converting manual and undocumented workflows into clear, repeatable procedures with defined ownership and reliable documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance financial systems; drive implementation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Support cross-functional teams with clear guidance, strong communication, and a practical approach to resolving operational issues.
- Lead preparation of audit workpapers and supporting schedules; coordinate auditor requests.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for external auditors in partnership with the Controller.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to independently research accounting questions, apply guidance, and document well-supported conclusions.
- Highly technical mindset with interest in automating workflows, working directly with underlying data, and using modern tools and AI to build faster, more reliable financial systems.

- Persistence and resourcefulness when issues do not reconcile or explanations are unclear.
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining precision and accountability.
