Accounting Manager

Overview

This role owns financial reporting and compliance frameworks, ensuring accurate close processes and adherence to US GAAP, SOX, and SEC regulations. The Accounting Manager directs complex accounting operations, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and provides reliable financial data that supports executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP
• Oversee SOX compliance controls, regularly testing workflows and updating documentation to mitigate financial and operational risks
• Prepare SEC filings and coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth reviews and compliance with regulatory standards
• Analyze general ledger accounts, investigate variances, and drive continuous improvement in ERP and financial tooling
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while streamlining routine transaction processing

Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in corporate finance or public accounting, with a mix of audit and industry background
• Active CPA license required, with deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting frameworks
• Advanced proficiency with modern ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday) and advanced data analysis tools
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end closes and leading cross-functional audit processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Big 4 experience
