Overview
This role supports top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space as part of a client service team. The Accounting Manager is a foundational contributor to client support, with responsibilities spanning accounting and reporting, capital calls, and investor relations.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero
- Drive month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to Controller or client (if appropriate)
- Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements
- Partner closely with your Controller to manage client relationships (client-facing role)
- Prepare draft investor correspondence in the FundPanel system, including capital contribution notices, distribution notices, quarterly reporting, and capital account statements
- Maintain investor information, investment information, and other fund metrics in the FundPanel system
- Maintain legal documents, including formation documents, investment documents, and other relevant client information in Box
- Prepare and obtain documents for the annual audit and tax process
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, alternative asset industry, or fund administration
- External auditor experience, and/or CPA certification or an MBA is a plus
- Experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients
- Resourceful, driven, and strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail
- Working experience with accounting systems such as Xero and Quickbooks
- Comfort using software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $110,000
- Salary determined based on current market data and candidate experience level

Working from home across the US.
