Accounting Manager

Overview

This role supports financial reporting and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Palo Alto, CA, or can be performed remotely. Preference will be given to remote candidates in the CST zone.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Lead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Support and maintain SOX compliance and the internal control framework, including documentation and testing
• Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables
• Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights
• Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives
• Support and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment (Big 4 strongly preferred)
• Experience with U.S. GAAP
• Experience with SOX implementation, control design and testing
• Experience with financial reporting and month-end close

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FloQast and/or LeaseQuery
• CPA
• Advanced SAP experience
• Strong technical accounting and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication with cross-functional teams and auditors
• Continuous improvement mindset

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges (annual):

• Colorado: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00
• New Jersey: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00
• Delaware: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00
• Washington, DC metropolitan area: $104,000.00 - $173,000.00
• California: $108,000.00 - $180,000.00

For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges, and each location where the employer hires may have a different range.

This position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
