Accounting Specialist

Overview

This part-time, remote contractor position is for an Accounting Specialist based in North America. The role involves applying accounting expertise to support the training of next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world financial data and insights. No prior AI experience is required; domain knowledge in accounting is the primary focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert insights on accounts reconciliation and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Review and validate financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Use ERP and accounting software to input, review, and audit financial information.
• Simplify complex accounting concepts for annotation, review, or training purposes.
• Deliver detailed feedback to improve the performance and accuracy of AI financial models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine AI training datasets based on real-world accounting scenarios.
• Document processes, methodologies, and observations to support AI model development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or related finance roles.
• Proven expertise in accounts reconciliation and ensuring financial accuracy.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms and leading accounting software tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and precision.
• Ability to translate accounting procedures into actionable data or feedback for technical teams.
