Accounting/Finance Manager

Overview

A small accounting firm in Washington, DC is seeking a client-facing Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit and small business clients. This role works directly with assigned clients and coordinates with an offshore bookkeeping team.

This position is remote, but MUST be in the US.

Compensation is $80K + benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit and small business clients
• Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact
• Liaise with the offshore bookkeeping team to ensure timely and accurate completion of client work
• Manage general accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll
• Support nonprofit-specific accounting needs, including grant experience

Requirements

• 5+ years of prior experience in non-profit accounting, including grant experience and general accounting (AP, AR, payroll, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively with an offshore bookkeeping team
• Ideally experienced with QuickBooks or able to quickly learn and adapt to different ERP systems
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct
