Accounts Payable Manager

Overview

This role offers an opportunity to lead the Accounts Payable team within a home goods manufacturing environment. The position focuses on managing daily operations, financial reporting, process improvements, and audit coordination related to Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payables
• Develop and deliver weekly and monthly financial reports and analyses to management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline Accounts Payable processes
• Lead month-end and fiscal year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Serve as the Accounts Payable subject matter expert during audits and coordinate necessary documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable management or related roles, including leadership responsibilities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and a track record of implementing process improvements
• Proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead high-performing teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the retail industry, especially with large "big box" retailers
• Knowledge of supply chain and distribution processes
• Familiarity with NetSuite or Oracle ERP systems
