Overview
An organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This fully remote role requires adherence to Central Standard Time (CST) hours and involves working closely with vendors and internal business units to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing and payments.
Responsibilities
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal business units promptly.
- Monitor invoice processing and ensure timely payments.
- Complete new vendor setup and verification.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases for tax preparation and audits.
- Track receipt of data and source documents.
- Monitor and report on changes in payment standards.
- Prepare and sort source documents, interpreting data for entry.
- Contact preparers of source documents to resolve questions or inconsistencies.
- Perform accurate data entry in the Accounts Payable System and make necessary corrections.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, and purchase order reconciliation.
- Experience with accounts payable systems and data entry accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
