Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist II is a key accounting resource supporting the finance team in daily operations. This role involves transaction processing, customer and internal communication, recording cash receipts, and managing tasks to ensure smooth department functioning.
Responsibilities
- Accurately apply payments and record cash receipts
- Manage aging report
- Perform monthly bank account reconciliation
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable (AR) accounts
- Accurately record daily refund journal entries
- Enter refund invoices for processing
- Process refund batches weekly
- Record journal entries as needed
- Provide support for external auditors
- Support business-facing teams such as Customer Service, Sales, and Operations to enhance client/customer service and maximize revenue
- Assist teammates and perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred, or 2+ years of related work experience
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
Skills and Abilities
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills with internal departments and external customers
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to perform duties at department standards while working remotely
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Work Conditions
- Primarily remote, home-office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work, including use of standard office equipment
- Effective communication via video and electronic means required
- Minimal physical exertion
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly salary range: $21.30 to $25.60 (national average range; actual pay may vary based on location, education, skills, experience, and organizational needs)
