Overview
This role is for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I working fully remote. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, New York, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.
Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on location, market data, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable collections and communicate with customers regarding payment confirmations.
- Maintain the department email inbox and address billing discrepancies and questions.
- Collaborate with the customer service department to resolve discrepancies.
- Enter data into accounts receivable general ledger accounts.
- Process customer credit card payments daily.
- Review billing records as needed to research double payments or billing errors causing payment delays.
- Collect on all open accounts receivable for assigned accounts.
- Post cash receipts.
- Communicate with customers and internal staff to resolve invoice disputes.
- Monitor the credit department email inbox.
- Process customer credit applications, including credit reference checks and D&B reports.
- Perform other accounts receivable projects as requested by the manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- High level of motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams and departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in collections processes and accounts receivable cycle.
- Strong aptitude with math and Excel functions such as equations, V-lookups, and pivot tables.
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.

- Remote position requiring residence in AL, AZ, CA, GA, NY, OR, TX, or WA states.
