Overview
A global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join their team remotely. This role supports healthcare providers, researchers, and patients by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
- Research payer websites to obtain correct billing information as needed
- Identify issues and trends with assigned payers
- Ensure aged accounts receivable (AR) is handled according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Meet production and quality metrics
- Communicate with leadership and partner teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of denials
- Adapt to changing priorities as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Access
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of accounts receivable and data entry experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $17.75 - $21.00 per hour, based on skills, experience, education, internal equity, and market data
- Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Employees working less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only
- Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
