Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote)

Overview

This role supports the accounting department of a global risk consultancy specializing in strategic security and intelligence services. The organization provides comprehensive security solutions including strategic advisory, risk assessments, physical protection, threat intelligence, open-source monitoring, program audits, embedded staffing, and training for security and intelligence teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to produce and assemble monthly customer invoices
• Verify data accuracy in the accounting system to ensure correct invoicing
• Send reminders and follow up with customers to collect revenue
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies; issue debit/credit memos as needed
• Support 1099 vendor management including onboarding and compliance tracking
• Enter vendor information into the accounting system
• Process vendor invoices by verifying transactions, preparing disbursements, and obtaining payment authorization
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or 3-5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience in full cycle bookkeeping

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30–$35 USD per hour, determined based on experience and skills
