Overview
The Manager Research Analyst evaluates public markets asset classes and categories, develops and maintains a focus list of recommended investment strategies, and presents investment recommendations to the Enterprise Investment Policy Committee (EIPC). The role also involves collaborating with advisors on asset class education, manager interviews, and strategy placements.
Responsibilities
- Source and conduct due diligence on assigned asset classes and categories.
- Contribute to the quarterly Manager Monitor for EIPC meetings.
- Develop and maintain a focus list of recommended investment strategies for institutional and wealth clients.
- Collaborate with advisors to create search books for new manager allocations and replacements.
- Develop primers and educational presentations on assigned asset classes and categories.
- Present updates, recommendations, and new ideas to the EIPC monthly or as needed.
- Conduct annual asset class reviews and provide updates to the EIPC on assigned categories.
- Identify short- to intermediate-term tactical investment opportunities outside traditional asset allocation.
- Attend client meetings to support advisors with asset class education, manager interviews, and strategy placements.
- Provide peer reviews to team members within the research group.
- Prepare and collaborate on strategy recommendations with the research group.
- Assist with new client onboarding through portfolio and investment strategy reviews and roadmap development.
- Keep service teams informed about pertinent information regarding clients’ investment managers.
- Lead the open investment RFP process for larger relationships within assigned asset classes.
- Attend and present at conferences as needed.
- Support special projects and new business presentations as required.
- Mentor research associates within the group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized self-starter with effective multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ investment strategy due diligence experience.
- MBA and/or CFA charter.
- Experience with Morningstar Direct and eVestment Alliance.
- Experience with LLMs to enhance research due diligence processes.
Physical Demands and Requirements

Movement about the office, travel to other locations, and occasional lifting of 10-15 pounds may be required. Compensation
- Compensation range: $73K - $148K
