Associate Director

Overview

This role supports the Accounting and Reporting Consulting (ARC) function. As part of the team, you will work with clients to deliver accounting advisory services focused on applying accounting standards, assisting with financial reporting, and resolving complex accounting issues. You will also support project execution and management alongside the team (MDs/Partners/Associate Directors).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting assistance to clients on complex accounting issues
  • Conduct research on accounting topics
  • Prepare technical memos
• Assist with financial reporting, including:
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • MD&A
  • SEC filings, including registration statements
• Support team efforts to manage client relationships and act as a point of contact for clients
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal and go-to-market activities
• Stay current on developments in accounting standards and regulations
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Identify engagement and client service issues
• Research and benchmark client data against industry data

Requirements

• CPAs/International equivalents
• 4–6 years of relevant experience

• Demonstrated sound understanding of accounting concepts; ability to stay informed of professional standards and apply them to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations
• Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
• Strong domain knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate in onsite and remote setups with clients/teams spread globally
• Ability to work under pressure, including stringent deadlines and tough client conditions that may require extended working hours
• Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
