Overview
This role involves completing complex, multifaceted assignments needed to service a client’s portfolio of commercial real estate loans. You will produce concurrent professional product deliverables in a consistent and timely fashion with limited management support.
Responsibilities
- Approve system-generated reporting, queries, and related client deliverables for compliance, adherence, and accuracy based on supporting information.
- Manage communication (oral and written) with internal and external clients regarding routine matters and exceptions related to proper servicing of commercial real estate loans.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards, and management direction while meeting contractual deliverables to clients and other external parties.
- Summarize research as needed to respond to inquiries from lenders, audit, rating agencies, and other authorized stakeholders.
- Design and build spreadsheet templates and/or financial models, including coding interrelated Excel formulas, data tables, and macros, to analyze loan metrics, cash flows, amortization tables, and similar debt or equity interest calculations; identify and correct logic errors.
- Ensure compliance against servicing standards, internal policies, and abstracted key dates and terms/requirements from loan and servicing documents; identify and address provisions that require exception processing.
- Prepare and deliver cash remittance reports for assigned portfolios timely and accurately based on requirements within the applicable agreements.
- Prepare and deliver all reporting requirements for assigned portfolios based on requirements within the applicable agreements.
- Ensure collection of all servicing fees through the remittance process based on the terms within the applicable agreements.
- Demonstrate teamwork through a professional attitude, proactive assistance to coworkers, participation in special projects, and willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet client deadlines.
- Recommend process rationalization and efficiency initiatives related to job responsibilities.
- Perform quality control (QC) on completed deliverables and communicate results to team members.
- Stay abreast of changes in industry standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; preferred field of study: finance/accounting, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at a Senior Analyst or Analyst level role, or an external equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in reconciliations; financial/investor reporting preferred.
- 0–2 years of CREFC Reporting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Experience with Excel, able to utilize multiple formulas and macros.
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment while also applying independent thought to produce a consistent quality work product.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Proactive approach to problem recognition and resolution.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual full-time base salary range: $59,000.00 - $85,000.00
- Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
- Certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility, and senior management approval.
