Audit Manager-Technical Reviewer

Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced Audit Manager (Reviewer) with a focus on Quality Control. This role supports audit engagements for labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds.

This is a Full-Time or Part-Time position. The home office is located in Hauppauge, NY, with additional offices in Iselin, NJ and Floral Park, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review of engagements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Review tax returns, including 990's, LM-2's, and 5500's
• Serve as a firm resource for research on technical issues involving complex accounting, auditing, and other regulatory matters
• Prepare position papers and implementation guidance regarding newly issued technical pronouncements
• Meet busy season hours requirements

Requirements

• CPA license
• 10+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience
• Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues
• Strong time management skills
• Detail-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with labor unions and multi-employer employee benefit funds

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $100,000–$150,000
