Overview
This bookkeeper role supports incoming destination-management work across Italy and Mediterranean destinations, including groups, transfers, excursions, MICE, and local partners. The work centers on maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and handling exceptions. Completed work must clearly show the source used, what changed, what remains open, and who owns the next action.
Responsibilities
- Review financial inputs against supporting records, ensuring checkpoints remain traceable within incoming destination-management work (groups, transfers, excursions, MICE, and local partners).
- Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing, with documentation that supports follow-up decisions.
- Track unresolved financial exceptions and ensure each exception has an owner.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audit processes through accurate, organized records.
- Protect confidential account information related to incoming destination-management work.
Success Standard
Success means accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling remain usable under the demands of incoming destination-management work. Repeated errors should become visible over time; exceptions must have owners; and another authorized teammate should be able to verify the state of the work without reconstructing its history.
What Helps You Succeed
- Confidence working with financial records as part of incoming destination-management operations.
- Ability to perform spreadsheet analysis while preserving evidence, owners, and deadlines.
- Skill in documenting audit support decisions clearly enough for another teammate to follow the reasoning.
- Good judgment around approval tracking, including knowing when escalation is needed rather than assuming outcomes.
