Overview
This role is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles or remote within Pacific or Mountain Standard Time zones. The organization is a top 50 CPA and advisory firm with over 500 professionals working remotely and in offices across the U.S. and India. The firm serves clients in 97 countries using digital tools to meet local needs and support global ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic and intermediate accounting functions related to business management and tax specifications.
- Manage day-to-day full-charge bookkeeping functions for clients under general supervision.
- Complete assigned tasks and jobs efficiently.
- Learn and contribute to the growth process by identifying and communicating growth opportunities.
- Identify and help resolve engagement technical issues, anomalies, and non-routine items.
- Collaborate and communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Pursue professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate.
- Assist account managers in generating 1099s and W-2s for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of client staff to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
- Complete research and special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in tax, accounting, or bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, or financial reports.
- Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software including Access, Prosystems, and other tax-related software.
- Prior high-net-worth (HNW) tax experience is strongly preferred.
- Creative problem-solving and research skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Compensation
- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
