Overview
A leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Financial Management Systems. This fully remote role involves working closely with senior analysts and directors to support planning, reporting, workforce planning, financial consolidations, and system administration activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily administration and support of the enterprise FP&A platform.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes by maintaining planning models and validating data.
- Maintain Workforce Planning models including headcount, compensation, employee allocations, organizational hierarchies, and position management.
- Support Financial Consolidations by assisting with entity maintenance, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation processes.
- Maintain financial reports, dashboards, ad hoc reports, and reporting packages for Finance and business users.
- Perform routine maintenance of metadata, hierarchies, dimensions, attributes, and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data loads, reporting issues, and system errors; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Assist with data reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy across planning and source systems.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, forecast, and annual planning cycles through system validation and testing.
- Gather business requirements and assist in documenting functional specifications for enhancements and process improvements.
- Participate in system testing for enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality.
- Maintain system documentation, process guides, business rules, and training materials.
- Provide end-user support by responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with training.
- Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, and implementation partners to resolve system issues and support ongoing enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting, and system efficiency.
- Support change management, release validation, and production deployments.
- Assist with SOX compliance activities by maintaining documentation and supporting periodic security and audit reviews.
- Perform other system administration and Finance technology support duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Corporate Performance Management (CPM), financial systems, or business applications.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or reporting processes.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Performance Management platforms such as Planful.
- Basic understanding of Workforce Planning, financial consolidations, multidimensional planning, and financial reporting concepts.
- Experience working with financial data, metadata, hierarchies, and reporting structures.
- Preferred experience supporting integrations between financial systems and ERP, HRIS, payroll, or other business applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Planful (formerly Host Analytics), including Structured Planning, Workforce Planning, Financial Consolidations, or Spotlight XL.
- Experience supporting ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
- Exposure to system implementations, upgrades, or Finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience creating end-user documentation and delivering user training.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, APIs, or integration tools is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $77,520 - $96,900 annually.
