Overview
A professional services consultancy is seeking experienced Client Accountants to join their fully remote team. The organization provides skilled accounting professionals to support a diverse range of clients including high-growth startups, SMBs, and nonprofits across the US. Responsibilities
Client Service
- Deliver high-quality accounting support to clients
- Maintain extensive knowledge of accounting practices and stay current with advancements in accounting principles and financial technology
- Assist clients throughout onboarding and ongoing engagement phases
- Follow established processes including accounts payable and receivable management, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial statements, payroll, and HR activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to exceed client expectations
- Manage client communications and identify opportunities to improve client financial outcomes
Team Collaboration
- Participate in company-specific and industry best practices training
- Balance a flexible schedule with your manager; cross-train and share workload with colleagues
- Attend and actively engage in team and manager meetings
- Contribute to an environment focused on individual, team, and company growth through coaching and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- At least 1 year of transactional accounting experience using software such as QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Bill.com, Expensify, or QuickBooks Online Certification is highly preferred
- Process-oriented with a desire to learn new technologies and methods
- Willingness to follow and help improve established accounting practices
- Experience working in a remote environment is a plus
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to confidentiality
- Dedicated workspace with reliable and secure high-speed internet access
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with senior finance professionals such as Controllers, Finance Managers, and CFOs
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, cross-training environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: W2, non-exempt, $30-39 per hour
