Overview
- Fully Remote role
- Focus: managing delinquent small-business lending accounts, restoring account status, preventing defaults, and coordinating repayment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent customers via calls, emails, and texts
- Respond to inquiries regarding account status, invoicing, and payments
- Proactively resolve payment default issues
- Secure payment commitments from customers
- Perform skip tracing as needed
- Investigate and resolve early payment defaults
- Reconcile cash applications with customer accounts
- Process customer buy-out requests
- Document all communications and follow-ups
- Negotiate and process payment plans in accordance with departmental policies
- Review accounts for hardships and adjustments with management
- Manage a minimum of fifty accounts daily with over 100 phone calls per company standards
- Collaborate with third-party agencies when accounts reach advanced delinquency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or equivalent experience considered
- Minimum of 5 years collections experience, ideally in commercial or consumer lending with MCA and loan products
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Resourceful problem-solving skills
- Investigative mindset to analyze customer information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with proper grammar
- Flexibility and adaptability to procedural changes
- Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate across departments
- Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus
