Commercial Finance Analyst

Overview

The organization is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst, Commercial Finance to support the Canadian Commercial team and help drive profitable growth. This role provides financial analysis, reporting, and insight, including planning and reporting against annual revenue plans and targets.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Finance.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Accounting, through financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights
• Prepare month-end reporting packages, including P&L reviews, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting
• Maintain and support enhancements of data sources, reporting tools, and dashboards to improve Commercial Finance reporting and decision support
• Assist with product launches, promotional planning, forecasting, and financial performance assessments
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data through reconciliations, validation procedures, and continuous process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA completed or in progress is an asset
• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, reporting, or related finance functions
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
• Knowledge of trade investment, promotional landscape, and promotional optimization techniques

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $65,000–$80,000

Location

Full-time remote-first role based out of Kanata/Ottawa or Toronto, Ontario.
