Overview

This role is with a well-established boutique CPA firm based in Colorado Springs, serving closely held businesses, nonprofits, and healthcare organizations. The firm emphasizes building long-term client relationships and providing consultative services beyond traditional audit compliance. Responsibilities

• Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients
• Conduct risk and internal control assessments and audit planning
• Manage all phases of engagements including planning, fieldwork, financial statement and report preparation, and delivery
• Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements
• Provide financial and business analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures
• Collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines
• Train and delegate tasks to staff based on availability and experience
• Conduct fieldwork at client locations and remotely
• Meet assigned deadlines or budgets and communicate proactively

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting firm audit experience
• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
