Overview

This role sits on the Corporate Development team and reports to the Head of Corporate Development. You will support M&A, fundraising, investor relations, and strategic projects that influence where the organization goes next, working closely with senior leadership (including the CEO, CFO, and executive team).

The Corporate Development function is being built, with active deal momentum and an M&A roadmap. This position offers the opportunity to develop corporate development, investor relations, and strategy capabilities through direct involvement in real deals and end-to-end deal work.

Responsibilities

M&A and Strategic Investments

  • Own M&A pipeline tracking and target sourcing, maintaining a living view of strategic and financial opportunities aligned to the roadmap
  • Partner with Product and GTM leadership to identify where M&A or strategic partnerships could accelerate roadmap execution, translating product strategy and GTM gaps into a prioritized M&A thesis
  • Run Market Intel, maintaining a steady flow of competitive and industry intelligence that informs executive decision-making (fintech peers, public comps, private market signals)
  • Lead M&A diligence, including financial modeling, target evaluation, and synergy analysis; coordinate with legal/finance/product for deal execution
  • Drive post-close integration by owning the integration plan, running cross-functional workstreams (Finance, Product, Engineering, People, Legal), and tracking performance against the deal model

Investor Relations

  • Help prepare Board of Directors materials alongside the Head of Corporate Development, partnering with the executive team on content and narrative
  • Support investor relations through investor updates, KPI reporting, comps tracking, and ad hoc requests from existing investors
  • Build fundraising materials, including pitch decks, data rooms, financial models, and investor narratives, working alongside the Head of Corporate Development and CFO

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in an in-house Corporate Development seat at a tech company
  • Direct experience on live M&A deals, including diligence, modeling, and execution
  • Experience driving post-close integration on the company side: owned the plan after deal close, led cross-functional workstreams, and was accountable for whether outcomes matched what the model assumed
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data independently (from back-of-envelope estimates through full modeling)
  • Experience using AI to build workflows and scale output
  • Clear writing skills, with the ability to turn messy strategic problems into memos or board-ready slides that drive decisions
  • Ability to operate across Product, Engineering, and GTM (e.g., discuss roadmap tradeoffs with product leaders and pipeline gaps with sales leadership, then translate those insights into corporate development opportunities)
  • A constructive point of view, including the ability to challenge senior leaders with analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and/or interest in fintech, including banking/payments business models (interchange, NIM, deposit economics) or B2B SaaS pricing

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total rewards include base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits
  • Base salary ranges are competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using compensation survey data
