Deal Desk Analyst Sr

Overview

This role is remote based in the US, with preference given to candidates located near Chandler, AZ.

The Deal Desk Analyst Sr independently evaluates deal economics, customer value, and competitive dynamics; develops financial business cases; and recommends deal alternatives that balance growth, profitability, and risk. The position partners across functions to improve margin and deal velocity within established approval guardrails and provides strategic visibility across deals. There is no current people-management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze complex, nonstandard deals and advise Sales and account teams on deal structures and alternatives that balance customer needs, growth, and profitability.
• Build detailed financial models, scenarios, and business cases covering:
  • gross and contribution margin
  • rebates
  • backend partner funding
  • costs and commercial terms
• Evaluate payment terms, customer payment behavior, and financial risk with Finance; explain assumptions, data gaps, and sensitivities prior to recommending an action.
• Use cohort analyses, historical customer value, competitive dynamics, and win-loss data to contextualize deal economics.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve margin and deal velocity within established approval guardrails.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct Deal Desk experience, including senior-level depth independently supporting strategic, complex deal decisions, such as:
  • financial modeling
  • scenario analysis
  • actionable recommendations
• Advanced Excel skills and strong quantitative analysis, including practical understanding of:
  • B2B pricing
  • gross and contribution margin
  • rebates
  • backend partner funding
  • payment-term implications
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial findings and assumptions in concise executive presentations.
• Sound business judgment and the ability to recommend alternatives in ambiguous situations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range (typical): $75,000 to $85,000
• Additional bonus and benefits available (details not specified).
• Compensation decisions depend on facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location; candidates outside the stated range may be considered as necessary.
• Work arrangement includes freedom to work from another location (including an international destination) for up to 30 consecutive calendar days per year.
