Expert Opportunity - Financial Controller ($80/hr, up to $1,600/week)

Overview

An opportunity is available for experienced financial controllers to assist in training a foundational AI language model focused on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks related to financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
• Work across core financial workflows including:
  • Monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages
  • Audit request schedules and prepared by client (PBC) documentation
  • Accounts payable and receivable aging reports
  • Budget-to-actual variance summaries
  • Internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos
  • Vendor and expense audit trail spreadsheets

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or internal/external audit support
• Hands-on ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules
• Deep fluency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and macros
• Expert-level proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and slide creation with excellent written communication and strong attention to detail

Compensation & Commitment

• Hourly rate: $80
• Flexible commitment: 5-20 hours per week, with the option for more
• Fully remote position with the ability to work on your own schedule
• Start date: As soon as possible
