🌎Finance & Accounting Expert, Remote- Contract

Overview

This is a contract, project-based role focused on designing realistic multi-step finance and accounting tasks for evaluation and grading.

• Estimated time per task: ~10 hours per task
• Language requirement: Strong English required (B2 advanced or C1 minimum)

Responsibilities

• Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting tasks based on real workflows (e.g., FP&A analysis, financial reporting, audit procedures, reconciliations).
• Create objective, benchmark-style grading criteria so two qualified reviewers would reach the same verdict on the same output.
• Develop tasks that require judgment rather than simple lookup, where the correct answer depends on properly reading and interpreting provided materials.
• Provide or source supporting materials required for each task, such as:
  • Spreadsheets
  • GL extracts
  • Financial statements
  • Policy documents
• Identify and flag tasks that turn out to be ambiguous or ungradable rather than submitting them anyway.
• Deliver approved tasks on schedule and at the required quality level.

Requirements

• Hands-on domain knowledge in finance and accounting workflows.
• Ability to translate real finance work into defined, gradable tasks.
• Experience with reconciliation and error diagnosis.
• Judgment in reporting and analysis.
• Comfort working across multiple documents.
• Strong English (B2 advanced or C1 minimum).
• No prior AI experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on responsibility in one or more of the following: FP&A, financial reporting, audit, reconciliations, or accounting (direct ownership of the work).
• Experience creating or applying structured review standards, such as audit programs, review checklists, close checklists, grading rubrics, or training assessments.
• Strong Excel capability and comfort reasoning across multiple documents at once.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (plus, but not required).
• AI or LLM evaluation experience (plus, but not required).
