Finance Analyst II - Remote US

Overview

This organization is seeking a Finance Analyst II to support the Finance Department in a fully remote capacity anywhere in the USA. This is a temporary position expected to last one year. The role involves collecting and evaluating financial data to develop recommendations and support key deliverables such as financial plans and analyses. The analyst will provide business leaders with financial forecasts and insights to aid short- and long-term decision-making.

This opportunity is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Manage project priorities and deliverables across multiple initiatives, balancing speed, quality, and stakeholder needs
• Conduct and document moderately complex financial analysis projects
• Interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control
• Provide regular revenue and expense analyses and reports
• Analyze present and future financial performance
• Support the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and systems
• Offer support, development, and leadership guidance to volunteers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and effective program execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of applicable financial principles, concepts, practices, and standards
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Basic proficiency with personal computers, word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Willingness to travel and participate in meetings and conferences as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical skills with working knowledge of Power BI
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with the Red Cross or similar organizations is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000
