Overview
A Senior Finance Analyst position is available to support the Solutions Technology Group (STG) in Huntsville, AL. This role is fully remote and involves providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic business planning, cost management, and resource optimization within STG.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with STG leadership and finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and procurement teams to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Prepare weekly and periodic financial deliverables and internal reports, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and Estimates At Complete (EACs) for various STG organizations.
- Distribute financial information and analysis within deadlines, ensuring clarity and relevance to assist leadership in decision-making.
- Assist in budget development (EACs/Spendplans) and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and project variances.
- Support the development and analysis of service center plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline with at least six (6) years of relevant experience in Federal government contracting; or a Master's degree with four (4) years of experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proven expertise in project planning, control, and variance analysis within Federal procurement.
- Ability to process and analyze large data sets in Excel and consolidate findings into management-level reports.
- Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations, accounting, and finance principles.
- Sound judgment in decision-making while adhering to policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office software, especially advanced Excel skills.
