Overview
A finance and operations internship opportunity is available to support special projects across finance, accounting, and business operations. This role is suited for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in understanding the connection between financial performance and day-to-day operational decisions.
The intern will collaborate with the finance team on projects involving cash flow analysis, student retention trends, accounting support, and broader business initiatives. The position offers exposure to financial reporting, operating metrics, forecasting, and cross-functional problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Support finance and operations projects, including analysis of cash flows, revenue trends, expenses, and key operating metrics
- Assist with student retention and population analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare financial summaries, schedules, and reporting packages for management review
- Support accounting-related projects such as data gathering, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with various teams across the business to collect information, organize data, and support decision-making
- Assist with ad hoc projects related to forecasting, budgeting, process improvement, and operational performance
- Identify areas for improvement in reporting, processes, or data
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with finance, accounting, and operations teams
- Interest in finance, accounting, business operations, and performance improvement
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
