Overview

The organization is seeking a Project Manager to join the Finance department and own internal projects that help finance scale. This role will drive process optimization, reporting automation, new provider integrations, and cross-functional coordination between finance and other teams.

This position is for a PM who can investigate complex processes, identify what’s broken, propose fixes, and deliver measurable results. Many workflows will need to be built from scratch, so the role involves shaping how work gets done—not just following an existing playbook.

Responsibilities

Projects

  • Own finance initiatives end to end.
  • Lead internal finance projects from idea to result (scope, plan, stakeholder alignment, timeline, and delivery).
  • Drive integration of new providers and systems into finance workflows in partnership with product, engineering, payments, and accounting.
  • Manage timelines and chase dependencies across departments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide clear communication of project status, risks, and outcomes to department heads and senior leadership.

Processes

  • Map existing finance and accounting processes to identify bottlenecks and manual work; prioritize fixes.
  • Automate financial reporting to reduce the time and effort required to produce reliable numbers.
  • Build new processes from scratch where needed, keeping them lean and practical.
  • Standardize finance workflows with other teams, including requests, handoffs, approvals, and ownership.

Ownership and Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify issues in processes and data; determine root causes and implement solutions.
  • Interpret stakeholder requests to understand what the business actually needs.
  • Take responsibility for outcomes rather than passing tasks between colleagues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in project management, ideally in Finance or Operations.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation, process optimization, and system integrations.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments and aligning stakeholders you do not manage.
  • Demonstrated ability to run projects independently from idea to result; able to describe a project you owned and the changes it drove.
  • Strong ownership and proactivity.
  • Confident written and spoken communication with senior leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach balanced with pragmatism and minimal bureaucracy.
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace with a large workload, uncertainty, and shifting priorities.
  • Strong English proficiency (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Operations or Finance Operations roles.
  • Experience in crypto, fintech, payments, or another fast-growing digital business.
  • Experience integrating payment or financial service providers.
  • Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment where processes were built from scratch.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Professional growth support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
  • Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
  • Paid leave: up to 20 vacation days + 8 company holidays + 5 personal days per year.
  • Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
  • Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company apartments in Cyprus).

Location

Remote or hybrid across international teams (flexible hours). Example retreat location mentioned: Cyprus.
