Financial Accountant

Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its multinational, multi-currency European Finance team. This role requires a self-starter who is organized and flexible, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize while maintaining a focus on quality, teamwork, and adherence to global deadlines. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial reporting cycle for multiple European legal entities, including preparation of monthly financial statements
• Prepare revenue and regulatory filings under both US GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Manage outsource payroll providers and local payroll, including monthly employer taxes reporting
• Support global Transfer Pricing activities, working with external providers to produce annual transfer pricing documentation per country
• Provide data for multi-currency weekly, monthly, and forecast working capital requirements
• Prepare and analyze Trial Balance and Financial Statements
• Perform detailed review of Trial Balance
• Complete monthly reporting requirements
• Apply IFRS / FRS102 knowledge
• Perform Budget to Actual analysis
• Assist with preparation of audit and corporation tax requirements and liaise with relevant team leads
• Support ad hoc projects with the wider Accounting team

Requirements

• Strong financial accounting knowledge with robust experience preparing monthly financial statements
• Qualified Accountant
• Proven experience in accounts roles/functions
• Transfer pricing knowledge
• Knowledge, understanding, and application of EU VAT regulation and reporting
• Accounting qualification—newly qualified or experienced with 2–3 years of work in a similar environment
• Proficiency in Workday is an advantage (or similar ERP software)
• Proficient MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and excellent knowledge of formulas
• Ability to work in an international remote team
• Committed, flexible, and enthusiastic team player
• Ability to take initiative
