Financial Accountant II

Overview

A tax resolution and accounting firm established in 2001 is seeking a Financial Accountant II to join their remote tax resolution team. The organization provides comprehensive tax and accounting solutions to individuals and businesses, focusing on resolving back tax issues and supporting financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple client accounts
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Process payroll and generate payroll reports
• Prepare sales tax reports and annual 1099 filings
• Communicate with clients via email, phone, and mail to gather necessary documentation
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests for information
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting as needed
• Support compliance with relevant financial regulations
• Continuously update knowledge of accounting standards and best practices
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Reliable internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps, recommended 100 Mbps)
• Necessary equipment for remote work such as computer and phone
• Satisfactory background and employment verification
