Financial Analyst

Overview

This role supports the organization’s finance team with routine analysis and reconciliations. The position focuses on financial reporting, budgeting support, and variance analysis. Work is performed remotely and involves documenting work and communicating when information is unclear.

Responsibilities

• Review financial schedules for completeness and arithmetic accuracy.
• Present analysis findings in plain language to other team members.
• Compare actual results with budgets and prior-period figures.
• Support regular budgeting and forecast updates using provided assumptions.
• Help prepare monthly reports with clearly labeled tables and charts.
• Maintain working files and document sources used for calculations.
• Assist in preparing forecast scenarios under team guidance.

Requirements

• Ability to ask questions when financial assumptions are unclear.
• Organized approach to meeting deadlines and managing documents.
• Comfortable working remotely with finance and operations colleagues.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Relevant finance, accounting, or business coursework is useful.
