Salary: $71,000–$79,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and items that require follow-up.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
  • Update forecasts, review actual results against budget, and prepare management reports.
  • Test how changes in assumptions could affect expected outcomes.
  • Organize inputs, verify calculations, and summarize the most meaningful drivers.
  • Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Perform variance analysis that goes beyond identifying whether a number is higher or lower; where information allows, identify operational or financial drivers and whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or require further review.

Requirements

  • Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain drivers behind financial changes.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing analysis.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Good judgment when financial information is incomplete or inconsistent—investigate the source, document limitations, and avoid presenting uncertain results as more precise than they are.
