Overview
This contractor role offers the opportunity to influence how advanced AI systems understand, evaluate, and explain financial concepts. The position seeks finance professionals with extensive experience in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, valuation, performance reporting, and business decision support. The work involves challenging advanced language models on Financial Analyst topics to improve model reasoning, factual accuracy, and ensure AI-generated financial content meets professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated financial analyses, models, explanations, prompts, and responses for accuracy, logic, completeness, and professional quality.
- Challenge advanced language models with complex Financial Analyst tasks including forecasting, variance analysis, valuation, financial statements, budgeting, and business performance interpretation.
- Review and refine AI-generated prompts and responses to ensure sound financial reasoning, appropriate assumptions, and clear business communication.
- Provide structured feedback identifying reasoning errors, flawed assumptions, calculation mistakes, missing context, and opportunities for improvement.
- Shape AI communication standards for finance-related content to ensure outputs are precise, well-organized, decision-useful, and suitable for business audiences.
- Support benchmarking efforts by assessing model performance across realistic financial analysis tasks and documenting recurring failure modes.
- Create or review finance-specific examples, rubrics, and evaluation criteria to improve model reasoning through financial problems.
- Help ensure AI systems distinguish between accounting facts, analytical judgment, market assumptions, and business recommendations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investment analysis, business finance, or a closely related finance function.
- Significant hands-on experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and financial statement interpretation.
- Deep knowledge of core finance concepts including revenue and cost drivers, profitability analysis, cash flow analysis, valuation methods, scenario modeling, and business performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of GAAP-based financial statements, Excel-based modeling practices, KPI reporting, and the role of finance in strategic decision-making.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready narratives.
- Demonstrated experience identifying analytical errors, validating assumptions, reviewing financial outputs, and explaining financial reasoning in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced credentials such as MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications.
- Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
