Overview
A growing finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support continued organizational growth through financial planning, analysis, and modeling. This role reports to the Director of Strategic Finance and involves interpreting past performance, shaping strategic plans, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and performing detailed variance analyses. The position requires collaboration across departments to inform strategic business decisions and improve financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly financial statement variance analyses comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and historical trends
- Contribute to rolling forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range financial projections
- Analyze and report on key SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, and retention to support forecasting and reporting
- Calculate monthly incentive compensation including commissions and sales bonuses, and identify ways to streamline this process
- Execute month- and quarter-end close activities and prepare accurate reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement processes and tools ensuring data integrity and system alignment
- Identify and implement process improvements, including leveraging AI to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Support ad hoc finance projects and special initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; accounting or finance preferred
- 1-3 years of combined experience in financial analysis or accounting
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of GAAP and financial statements
- Exceptional attention to detail and ownership of work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance partners
- Ability to derive insights and tell compelling stories using business metrics
- Curiosity and initiative to independently tackle problems
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional finance designation such as CPA or MBA preferred
- Experience in SaaS and/or startup environments with understanding of ARR and SaaS unit economics
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Netsuite, Aleph, or related software
- Experience using AI tools to automate workflows
- Proficiency in financial modeling and sensitivity analysis
- Comfort working in a dynamic, changing environment and managing ambiguity

- Total compensation (base salary plus bonuses) ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience
