Overview
A leading financial software organization is seeking a Staff Financial Analyst to join their Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is critical in shaping financial strategies through comprehensive planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. The Staff Financial Analyst will provide strategic, data-driven insights to influence business decisions and optimize financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close reporting, forecasting, and target setting.
- Lead headcount planning and guidance development.
- Deliver insightful analytics to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Design and implement new financial and operational processes through cross-functional initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations to senior leaders including CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.
- Support strategic initiatives, organizational change efforts, and performance improvement projects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial matters.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of experience in FP&A or related financial roles.
- Background in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or analytics is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and craft concise, impactful financial storytelling.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting to senior leadership.
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives and strategic performance projects is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field required.
- MBA or CFA designation preferred.
